Frequently asked questions
General
- 01I work in a tattoo studio called "Live Easy" located in Denver, 3923 Tennyson St.
- 02Booking starts with filling out a tattoo request form. I review submissions carefully and usually respond within about two weeks. If your project aligns with my style, I’ll follow up to schedule a consultation or ask a few clarifying questions. If it’s not a good match, I’ll let you know respectfully and sometimes recommend another artist.
- 03I focus on vibrant color tattoos in painterly realism, watercolor, and neotraditional styles. I do not take on reworks, fineline-only tattoos, or black-and-gray-only projects, though I occasionally do neotraditional black-and-gray with a pop of color.
- 04Yes! Consultations are free and usually last about 30 minutes. This is our chance to discuss your ideas, preferences, and the vision for your tattoo, so I can create a design that feels intentional, unique, and natural for your body.
- 05Yes, a $300 deposit is required to secure your appointment. It can be paid in cash or online (3-4% card fee). Deposits help reserve your spot and are applied to your final tattoo session.
- 06Half-day (12–4 pm): $950 Full-day (12–7 pm): $1,600 These rates include all tattooing, stencil preparation, and setup time.
- 07If you need to reschedule, please give at least 72 hours’ notice. Last-minute cancellations, missed appointments, or repeated rescheduling may result in forfeiting your deposit. See my Cancellation Policy section for more information.
- 08Healing time varies, but most color tattoos take 2–3 weeks for the surface to heal and up to 6-8 weeks for deeper layers. Proper aftercare is essential for vibrant, long-lasting results.
- 09You’re welcome to bring one guest with you to your consultation or tattoo appointment. For longer tattoo sessions, I usually recommend having your guest join you for the first hour or two to help you settle in, or later in the middle of the day during our lunch break so they can spend some time with you and keep you company when you eat/bring you lunch or coffee. Most full-day appointments are quite long, and it can be difficult for another person to stay comfortable and engaged the entire time. Additionally, our studio layout is somewhat narrow, so limiting guest time helps keep the space relaxed, safe, and comfortable for everyone. If you have any special circumstances or needs, feel free to let me know — I’m always happy to accommodate when possible.
- 10I do not recommend using numbing creams. They can interfere with the tattooing process and may affect how the skin takes the pigment, sometimes resulting in less vibrant color or increased irritation. In some cases, they can also cause sensitivity or allergic reactions. During the session, I use Bactine to help ease discomfort on areas that have already been tattooed. This method is usually enough to keep the session manageable while allowing me to work safely and achieve the best possible result. My priority is always to protect the integrity of your tattoo and ensure it heals beautifully.
